I want to tell a love story—fate bringing two people together in a barroom brawl, two people who were well matched to support and love each other over the last 45 years. I want to show how love has rehabilitated both of us, in the face of death, struggle, anger and aging. From someone who felt trapped by difficult circumstances, I have now taken control of how I see myself and how others see me and my world. I want to let art carry part of the burden.
